What is the NDIS?
The NDIS is the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is being delivered by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) as a new way to help people under 65 with disability get care and supports. It intends to give people with disability more choice, flexibility and control over their lives by giving them access to the supports that are important to them. The NDIS also provides families and carers with information about services to support people with disability.
