One2One Grapevine – February 2021

Deb and Glen’s Queensland Trip

Our directors, Deb and Glen, have recently been blessed with their first grandchild, Alby Lewyn Ottley, born on the 15th of November 2020. In December, they set off on a 3-month adventure to Queensland, where they have spent their time exploring the state and spending quality time with their family.

Following on from their trip, the pair will be taking a long drive home to WA through South Australia, set to arrive home at the end of this month!

Congratulations and safe travels home! We look forward to hearing the stories of your trip.

Staff Service Awards

On 13 February, One2One staff celebrated and presented two 5 Years of Service awards to support staff:

  • Sherillee Jensen (not pictured)
  • Peter Knight, and
  • Shelby Whitaker.

We’re proud of the staff we employ and recognise the loyalty and dedication these staff commit to One2One but most importantly to the lives of the people they support.

Thank you so much.

Ricky Abbott

Swan Active Beechboro have recently recognised Ricky Abbott for his inspiring and motivating attitude:

“Ricki may be a familiar face to you, known for his bright smile and cheeky laugh, but do you know his story? Ricki survived a stroke at just 14 years of age, now at 26 he is able to regularly hit the gym. Over the past three years we have witnessed that nothing holds him back.

Ricki enjoys a mixture of cardio and weights training while living by his motto… “Keep each day different but keep pushing.” He prides himself on being a hard worker and it’s fair to say he inspires a lot of people. He enjoys coming in hitting the weights pushing himself further and catching up with friends he’s made along the way. What’s next? His future goals are to keep working on his training pushing himself and be an inspiration to others.

We think you are already an inspiration Ricki. Thank you for having a chat and letting us share your story.”
