NDIS Quality and Safeguards Audit
All disability service providers in WA who wish to apply for, or renew, their registration with the NDIS Commission must undergo an audit against the NDIS Practice Standards. An independent approved quality auditor will assess One2One against the components of the NDIS Practice Standards that are relevant to the services and supports we deliver.
As of 6 August 2021, One2One will undergo a ‘certification’ quality audit and has engaged HDAA, an approved quality auditor to assess compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards.
On 18 January 2022, One2One completed it’s initial Quality Safeguards audit and are happy to confirm we have been approved for certification with the NDIS. Our next Quality Safeguards midterm audit is due to commence in March 2023.

NDIS Quality and Safeguards Audit
During Stage 2 of our audit, held in September 2021, our auditors spoke directly to a random selection of Consumers. Here’s some of the feedback One2One received regarding its supports, services and staff:
They have bent over backwards to accommodate her unique status.
I couldn’t ask for a better team. They listen and if there is anything you need they will help you.
I’m not stuck indoors. We go out…to the art gallery or the community garden.
I like a good laugh, so they’re a team you can have a laugh with, but still be serious. They’ve helped me through things.
If my career can’t make it, they let me know and I get to choose who replaces them.
If a support worker can’t make it, I get a message immediately, asking me: what shall we do?
The plan is based on a lot of research. They spoke to our whole family. I really appreciate how One2One cares about the person.
Her plan is in line with the NDIS plan, her needs and what makes her happy.
The CEO calls me from time to time to check up on how things are going.
I’m doing well and the support is doing wonders . It’s amazing!
They listen. That’s listening, not hearing. It’s reassuring and motivating.
Being in my own home. It’s good.
Our auditors also spoke with a random selection of One2One and Consumer employed staff. Here’s some of the feedback these staff members provided regarding our supervision, recruitment and orientation practices:
We build a team around the person. We aim for a harmonious team.
We get lots of support and check-ins. We do group supervision and team meetings.
We do consumer orientation and buddy shifts. If it’s not a good fit for the person, we just deal with it and find someone else.
We are always with someone else when we meet the consumer for the first time.
That’s success – setting up your home how you like it and making jam from your tree.
They have autonomy to do what they prefer. I’m there for support and safety.
Any disharmony is discussed openly.
Prior to NDIS Quality and Safeguards Audits the Disability Services Commission undertook Quality Evaluation Reports of providers. To read more, download a copy of our last Quality Evaluation Report:
