One2One Grapevine – February 2020

Lose yourself in play at Woodbridge

Woodbridge Riverside Playground is one of Perth’s best play destinations. This fully fenced and inclusive playground is suitable for kids of all ages and abilities and it’s FREE! Located on the banks of the Swan River, Woodbridge Riverside Playground has services and facilities for people using wheelchairs with trails and play equipment inviting hours of adventures and fun.

There’s free barbecues, water fountains and a kiosk serving homemade food, locally roasted coffee, slushies, milkshakes and ice cream!

Parents and carers can grab a book from the free community library. If you forget the sunblock or insect repellant, be sure to ask the friendly staff at Guerrilla Hub who are sure to have some on hand. Be sure to bring a hat! Drop by Guerrilla Hub and borrow a football, have a swing at totem tennis or grab a crew for a tug-of-war challenge. There are even water pistols to help keep you cool!

NDIS Forum – Have your say on what makes a great disability worker

WAiS are hosting a forum for people, their carers, families, workers and service providers to talk about what good quality support looks like and how to improve the quality of this support. They want to hear about lived experiences with support workers (the great, the good, the bad and the ugly). These can be positive experiences and highlight strengths, or they may be challenging times where improvements could be made.
