Valued Lives Workshops

Valued Lives will be hosting Sam Paior from The Growing Space in Adelaide, who will share her expertise and knowledge on all things NDIS, presenting workshops in the week 11-15 March 2019.

Sam is a parent, Support Coordinator and Advocate who has mastered the art of simplifying her delivery of NDIS information, making what can seem overwhelming and confusing, much simpler to understand.

Sam will present her signature workshops here in Perth and in Bunbury:

  • Mastering Self-Management
  • Nuts and Bolts of the NDIS 
  • NDIS Deep Dive Workshop

You are welcome to join these workshops where you will learn in depth what the NDIS is all about, how it works and how to make the most of it.

We’ve talked about Befriend before but they offer so much and more and in their latest newsletter, they posted an interesting TED talk on What makes a good life? Lessons from the longest study on happiness!

Self-advocacy, Citizenship & Inclusion

The WA Division of the Australasian Society for Intellectual Disability is holding a seminar on self-advocacy, citizenship and inclusion (see attached flyer). The seminar is open to people with lived experience of intellectual disability, families and carers, advocates, and disability service providers.

Learn about the fundamentals of friendship, feeling included, and having a say in your own life. How can you support others to speak up for themselves and get involved in life? 

Held 2 April at 3:30pm in Morley.
